Place butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla flavoring in a mixing bowl and beat until very fluffy. Add the hazelnuts and flour to the butter and beat until smooth.
Pour the batter into a piping bag. Now, on a baking tray lined with baking paper, pipe shapes to taste, e.g. stripes, rings, S-shapes.
Bake the pastry at 170 °C for about 15-20 minutes.
In the meantime, melt the chocolate coating in a water bath.
Dip the tips of the baked pastry into the liquid chocolate coating.
