Instructions:

For the colorful layer cake, first separate the eggs and beat the yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add the butter and continue beating.

Mix the baking powder with the flour and stir into the batter alternately with the milk. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Then color one third of the dough with any food coloring, carefully fold in one third of the snow and pour the mixture into a small springform pan (ø 18cm).

Bake in the oven at 180 °C for about 20 minutes and let cool. Bake the remaining two thirds in the same way. Stack the 3 pastry bases on top of each other and cut out three circles/rings of different sizes with a pointed knife.

Arrange the cut out rings so that each color appears once in each layer. Spread jam between the layers.

For the ganache, break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a bowl with the whipped cream. Heat in the microwave so that the chocolate melts. Caution: whipped cream should not get too hot and start to boil. Therefore, put the bowl in the microwave only for about 30 seconds, stir carefully with a spoon (chocolate should not yet mix with the whipped cream) and continue to heat until the chocolate is no longer solid.

Then mix the chocolate completely with the whipped cream and let it set in the refrigerator for about 3 hours. Finally, spread the ganache on the multicolored layer cake.
