Instructions:

For the Indian cake, beat the egg whites until stiff, then beat the yolks with the granulated sugar and vanilla sugar. Finally, stir in the flour and baking powder. Spread a quarter of the mixture, the size of a cake layer, on a greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes. For the cream, boil milk with pudding powder. Cream butter with powdered sugar and stir in cooled pudding by the spoonful (make sure pudding and butter have the same temperature). Finish with vanilla sugar.

Spread three of the cooled cake layers with jam and then with custard, place the fourth on top and press down lightly. Also spread with jam. Frost the Indian cake with chocolate icing (melted in a water bath).
