A delicious fish recipe for any occasion!

Scale the herrings, gut them. Cut heads and fins into small pieces. Wash. Sprinkle with juice of one lemon. Leave to soak for 10 minutes. Then season with salt and turn in flour to the other side. Heat oil in a large frying pan.

Fry herrings in it for 7 min. on both sides. Cool slightly. For the marinade, mix water and vinegar. Peel onions and cut into rings. Add to the liquid form. Bring to a boil with the remaining ingredients. Allow marinade to cool. Place the still warm herrings in a suitable bowl. Pour marinade over them.
