For the potato loaf, press the cooked potatoes through a press. Mix the pressed potatoes with salt, pepper, chopped onions and herbs.

Add the milk with the melted butter and tomato paste and mix well. Mix the flour into the potato mixture to make a soft but malleable mass.

If necessary, add a little more flour. Form about 10 loaves with a thickness of 1.5 cm and turn them in breadcrumbs.

Heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the loaves until golden brown.

Serve the caramel loafs with sour cream dip or ketchup.
