Remove the peel from the potatoes, prepare and steam. Press through the press. Mix with the egg. If the mixture is too firm, add a little cream or milk. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Stir the sour cream until smooth. If necessary, add a little more milk or cream. Season with salt and juice of a lemon.

Heat some fat. Place tablespoon-sized portions of potato dough in the hot frying pan. Flatten with a damp spoon to make narrow, small loaves. Fry until golden brown on one side. Turn over and finish frying in hot oven for three minutes.

Serve with salmon and sour cream on warm plates.

Add a little caviar if desired. Garnish with dill.

If you like, you can add hard-boiled eggs, divided into eighths.
