Instructions:

For the sauerkraut loaf, boil the potatoes until soft.

Peel and finely chop the onion.

Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry in a pan in the oil. Add the onion and fry.

Squeeze the sauerkraut a little and add it to the pan with the bay leaf, caraway seeds and wine.

Saute until all the liquid has evaporated.

Drain the potatoes, peel them and immediately press them through the potato press into a bowl. Allow to cool a little.

Mix the potatoes with the egg and potato starch and add the sauerkraut.

Season to taste with salt, pepper and sugar if desired.

Form loaves with wet hands and fry them in hot oil.

Parsley potatoes go very well with the sauerkraut loaves.
