With us gibts to Christmas gladly on 24.12. ff. In the evening the popular national dish of our Polish neighbors, Bigos. There is a lot of game bigos, variants, rogue bigos, hunter bigos, and so on. It is a braised dish with many kinds of meat and sausage and with white cabbage and sauerkraut. Bigos is very easy to prepare in advance and it becomes more and more delicious after several times of cooking. I’ll make the classic version here, which tasted just as good to my children yesterday and the day before.
Here is a recipe that yields about 12 ltr Bigos. After all, 6 people serve here several days and to my traditional New Year’s party should also remain what. One can vary that very well after Gusto in the quantities.
To the Bigos we have kale and bread, it tastes just as good with just bread. In addition a few bottles of vodka and the world is repeatedly in order 🙂 It goes well with beer or dry red wine.
