Bigos – Polish National Dish

Cut the bacon into small cubes and roast the chopped onions briefly in it. Cut the meat into small cubes, the sausage into thick slices, the cabbage finely, the mushrooms leafy. Put everything in a saucepan with the spices. Pour so much hot water that the whole is just covered. Cover the saucepan and cook in the preheated oven or on a low flame for 1 hour. Serve with boiled potatoes. Tastes even better warmed up!

Tip: Cook only with high-quality spices – they are the be-all and end-all in a good dish!
