For the Christmas liqueur, put the candied fruit in a large glass jar with a screw cap.

Add the remaining ingredients, stir well and close the jar. Allow the liqueur to infuse for three to four weeks.

Pour the Christmas liqueur through a sieve into a suitable container, such as a sealable wide-necked bottle. Remove the spices.
