A simple but delicious cake recipe:
Boil the milk and pour it over the Weggli cubes. Soak for about 10 to 15 minutes. Now mash finely with a fork.
Beat the egg yolks with the pear syrup and cinnamon until thick. Add the butter and continue to beat briefly. Now add the bread mixture and the hazelnuts. Finally, stir in the cherries.
Beat the egg whites with salt and baking powder until stiff. Using a rubber scraper, fold the whipped cream into the bread and cherry mixture and pour into a well-buttered and floured springform pan.
Bake on the lowest shelf in the oven heated to 200 degrees for one hour. If the cake browns too quickly, cover with aluminum foil.
