A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Inge Huenken: A typical cake from the Usa: quick and tasty. It also stays fresh for a long time.

Mix fat with bananas and sugar until creamy. Add milk, flour and gradually eggs. Fold in baking powder, baking soda, salt and nuts.

Grease a cake springform pan (26 cm ø for 1 recipe). Pour in the batter.

Cut bananas in half lengthwise, sprinkle with juice of one lemon, press into the surface.

Place in oven heated to 180 degrees Celsius (gas mark 2) on the middle shelf and bake for 60 minutes.

Cool the cake a little, remove from the pan and cool. Cut into 12 pieces per cake.
