Dissolve the rock candy in hot water and set aside to cool. Melt the palmine, the light butter and the anise in the still hot sugar water.
After cooling, add the remaining ingredients, mix and leave for one night. The following day the dough is diluted with boiled water (about 1 l).
The New Year’s cakes are baked thinly in an ice-cream cake iron and quickly turned into a sack. They are then stored in a tin can until ready to eat.
