Instructions:

For the meatballs with vegetable sauce, dice onion and carrots and sauté slowly in 2 tablespoons of oil. Boil corn on the cob in a pot of water for about 15 minutes.

Scald tomatoes with hot water and peel off the skins, cut in half and remove the seeds. Then add the tomatoes to the onions and carrots, add all the spices and herbs (except basil) and the chili and simmer.

Strain the finished corn and set aside. Place the meat in a bowl with the eggs. Grate and add whole wheat crackers, knead in salt and spices. Heat frying oil in a small saucepan.

Form balls from the mixture and fry in portions for about 8 minutes each. Puree vegetable sauce. Chop basil and mix with corn in the sauce. Serve with pasta.
