For the mulled wine cubes, prepare the mulled wine from white wine and Glühweinfix and allow to cool.
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC hot air.
Cream the sugar, vanilla pulp from the scraped out pod, butter and eggs until very fluffy. Sift the flour with the baking powder and fold in together with the grated chocolate.
Set aside 6 tablespoons of the finished mulled wine, mix the rest into the batter.
Spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, smooth it with a pastry card and bake for about 20 minutes.
In the meantime, toast the flaked almonds briefly in a pan.
For the mulled wine glaze, mix the sugar with the 6 tablespoons of mulled wine. Spread the glaze on the cake while it is still warm and sprinkle with the toasted almond flakes. Cut mulled wine cubes from the cake.
