Line a (high) baking tray with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 170 °C.

Cream the butter and sugar until very creamy, add the eggs a little at a time and beat everything together until light yellow and thick.

Sift the flour with the baking powder. Gently stir in along with the cinnamon and almonds.

Spread 1/3 of the batter on the baking sheet. Stir the well cherries and chocolate into the rest of the dough. Spread on the dough. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes.

Let the sheet cake cool and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
