Instructions:

For the vanilla crescents, sift the flour onto the work surface. Add the nuts, sugar, vanilla sugar and 1 pinch of salt. On top add the butter cut into small cubes.

Starting from the center, knead the ingredients into a smooth dough. Form pencil-thick rolls from the dough and cut into pieces of about 5 cm.

Form into crescents, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for about 20-25 minutes. Roll the still hot vanilla crescents in the sugar mixture.
