For the currants cookies, wash the currants, dry them well and pour the rum over them. Let stand for at least 15 minutes. Cream the butter and sugar together until very fluffy.
Add the eggs and the flour mixed with baking powder one after the other. Finally, fold the currants into the dough together with the rum. Butter a baking tray and place small heaps on it with the help of 2 teaspoons.
Bake in a preheated oven at about 250 °C. These cookies are cooked in a few minutes, do not leave them in the oven longer than 7 minutes.
