For the elderflower syrup, wash a preparation vessel, the glass bottles and lids hot and boil. Let dry upside down standing. For the elderberry syrup, bring the water and sugar to a boil.
Cut the limes into slices. Put the elderflower umbels and lime slices in the preparation vessel and pour the sugar water over them. Leave this mixture in a cool, covered place for up to 3 days. Check the taste.
Then pour the mixture through a sieve or muslin cloth. Boil again and immediately pour into bottles and seal.
Allow bottles to cool upside down.
