For the waffle cake, prepare a waffle batter from the ingredients according to the basic recipe for waffles. Bake four thick waffles and let them cool.
For the topping, mix mascarpone with jam, vanilla sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Whip the cream until stiff and fold it loosely into the mascarpone cream. Sort the berries, rinse if necessary and pat dry.
Spread a quarter of the cream and a quarter of the berries on each waffle. Place the topped waffles on top of each other on a cake plate. Sprinkle the waffle cake generously with powdered sugar and serve immediately!
