Instructions:

1. make the sauerkraut with the caraway seeds according to the canned instructions.

Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and cover both halves with the slices of Kassler. Spread the sauerkraut evenly on top and sprinkle with the Emmentaler.

Bake the baguette halves in the broiler for 5 minutes at high temperature.
