For the gyros boats, prepare a smooth yeast dough from the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, olive oil and water. Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for 40 minutes.
In the meantime, cook the gyros according to the package instructions. Then knead the dough again, roll it out to a large sheet and cut it into 4 wide strips.
Place the finished gyros on the strips in such a way that an approx. 1 cm wide edge remains free. Place the pizza strips on top of each other on the narrow sides and press them well together to form boats.
Crumble the feta over the gyros and sprinkle an onion cut into rings on each boat. Bake the gyros in the oven at 200 °C for about 20 minutes. Serve hot.
