For the gnocchi with broccoli cheese sauce, first prepare the gnocchi according to the basic recipe (or according to package instructions for ready-made gnocchi).

Wash and clean the broccoli and divide into florets. Blanch in boiling water until al dente. Save a few nice florets for garnish. Finely chop the rest.

Peel and crush the garlic.

Slowly heat crème fraîche and cheese in a pan. Once the cheese has melted, add the garlic, salt and pepper. Add the chopped broccoli. If the sauce is too thick, carefully add a little whipped cream or water.

Arrange the gnocchi with broccoli cheese sauce, garnish with the whole broccoli florets and serve.
