Instructions:

Dissolve the rock candy in hot water and set aside to cool.

Add butter and anise to the hot sugar water.

When cool, add the remaining ingredients, mix and let stand overnight.

The next day, thin the batter with water.

Bake the waffles in an ice cream cake iron until thin, about 1 minute, and quickly roll into a stanitzel.

Store in a tin until ready to eat.
