Burgunya Paprikas – Smoked Pot with Peppers and Potatoes

Chop the bacon (or ham bacon) and heat gently in a roasting pan until the fat has rendered. Fry the onions in it (with additional fat if necessary) until golden brown. Stir in the paprika powder and continue to fry for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the potatoes, tomatoes and 3/4 of the chopped peppers. Also add the smoked sausages cut into thin slices. Pour so much water on it until everything is just covered with water. Let it boil, turn down the temperature, simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour into a suitable bowl, top with the remaining quarter of the bell pepper pieces.

Our tip: Use a bacon with a strong flavor – this will give this dish a special touch!
