For the colorful sausage salad, first peel the sausage and cut into slices.
Peel onions, halve and cut lengthwise into narrow slices.
Drain the gherkins (save 5-6 tablespoons of the broth) and cut them as well.
Quarter apples, remove core and cut into small pieces. Also cut cucumber, tomato and bell bell pepper.
Mix vinegar, cucumber juice, mustard, salt, pepper, oil and sugar to make a vinaigrette. Mix all ingredients with the vinaigrette and let the colorful sausage salad infuse for 15 minutes.
Then serve with the hard boiled egg.
