For the walnut crisp, beat the egg whites until stiff and slowly add the sugar.

Fold in the nuts and candied orange peel. Place wafers on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Use a teaspoon to place heaps of the thick mixture on the wafers and decorate with halved walnuts.

Bake the walnut crispies at 150°C.
