Perhaps your new favorite bean dish:

Finely dice the onions and sweat them together with the sauerkraut in hot clarified butter in a saucepan. Season with caraway seeds, paprika powder and nutmeg and mix well.

Add the canned tomatoes with their juice and steam for 25 minutes in an open saucepan. Gradually add the vegetable soup.

Peel the sausage and cut it in half lengthwise into thin slices. Chop the marjoram (except for a few leaves for garnish), pour the canned beans into a sieve and drain.

Heat the sausage, the chopped marjoram and the drained beans in the stew. Add the whipping cream, season with salt and pepper, bring to the boil once. Sprinkle with marjoram leaves and serve. Serve with country bread.
