A simple but delicious cake recipe:
Beat eggs with sugar until thick, lightly fold in flour. With a teaspoon, place mounds of dough 10 cm apart on a well-greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with aniseed and bake in a heated oven at 175-200 degrees until the cookies are light golden. While still hot, remove with a cake palette or possibly a kitchen knife, bend over a wooden spoon handle and rest on it for a few seconds until set. When cool, pack on the spot in tightly sealed containers to keep them crisp and long lasting.
