For the Halloween maggot muffins, preheat the oven to 180 degrees and place the paper shapes in the muffin tray.

In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt. In a second bowl mix sugar, vanilla pulp, salt and eggs until very fluffy. Then beat in the butter, chopped chestnuts, chocolate and liqueur.

Gently fold the wet mixture into the flour mixture.

Pour into the muffin cups and bake for about 20 minutes on the middle rack. Allow to cool.

Decorate the muffins with whipped cream and/or chestnut rice or chopped chestnuts. For the Halloween effect, twist the chestnut rice into small strings to give the impression of maggots.
