For Indian broccoli, cut broccoli into roses and wash.
Heat oil in a large frying pan. When the oil is hot, saute the garlic in it for about 1-2 minutes until golden. Add turmeric and add the broccoli. Saute for one minute. Add salt, carefully turn broccoli and saute for another minute.
Reduce heat and saute with lid on for 8-10 min. Broccoli should be firm to the bite and still dark green.
Remove the lid and continue to steam until all the liquid has cooked off and the broccoli stems are coated with garlic oil. Season Indian broccoli with salt and pepper and serve quickly.
