Mix cream cheese, freshly grated Gouda and crème fraîche until smooth. Season with pepper and salt.

They following variations on:

*Herb cream

Stir 3El finely chopped kitchen herbs and one clove of garlic into the basic cream.

*Tatar cream

Mix 1/2 bunch finely chopped chives, 1El chopped capers and 2 finely chopped hard boiled eggs into the base cream. Season with Worcester sauce and mustard.

*Waldorf cream

Remove the peel from 50 g celery and 1 apple and grate finely. Stir into the cream with 50 g chopped walnuts. Season with sugar and juice of one lemon.

*Orange cream

Finely dice the flesh of one orange. Stir into the base cream together with 1 tbsp. horseradish. Season with sugar, juice of one lemon and salt.

Our tip: Always use fresh chives if possible!
