1. set aside four small sprigs of berries. Pluck remaining berries from stems. Cut plums in half and remove seeds. Remove skin from pears, quarter, core and cut into wedges.

For the Hollermus, bring the vinegar, sugar and cinnamon to the boil with the fruit and simmer gently for a short time. Bind the puree with a little cold water mixed with maizena (cornstarch). Cover and stand.
Form dumpling dough with floured hands into an oblong, fist-thick roll, place on a dampened cloth napkin and roll up in it. Tie napkin at both ends. Place in boiling salted water and simmer on low heat for half an hour. 3.
Remove the roll from the water and drain. Unwrap dumplings and cut into slices.
Put the slices on a plate, add a little bit of hollermus and garnish with berry branches.
