For the Feuerzangenbowle, slice oranges and lemons, add cinnamon, star anise, cloves and red wine and bring to a boil, but not a simmer.

Then keep warm in a large pot. Place sugar loaf over pot, soak with rum and light.

Drizzle the rum over until the sugarloaf is completely dripped in the wine.
