For the chili chocolate ice cream, put the cream, milk, very finely chopped chili and chocolate in a bowl and place in a bain-marie over medium heat and stir until the chocolate has melted and the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.

Using a whisk, fold in egg yolks and scraped vanilla pulp. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and churn for 30 minutes.

Serve the chili chocolate ice cream right away or store in an airtight container in the freezer.

If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a shallow metal container and freeze until firm around the edges. Transfer to a bowl and beat with a hand mixer until smooth. Once again, place the chili chocolate ice cream in the freezer until firm.
