Put the Kassler with about 1 l of water to boil. Cook for about 3/4 hour. Clean, rinse and chop the leek. Remove peel from potatoes, carrots and apples. Cut apples and carrots into sticks, potatoes into narrow slices. About 15 minutes before the end of cooking time add to the Kassler form. Season with spices and sweet and sour vinegar. Remove meat, cut into portion pieces and bring to table with stew.
