To make the potato gratin, thinly slice the peeled potatoes and place in a garlic-rubbed baking dish in layers seasoned with salt, pepper and nutmeg and topped with grated cheese. Finish with cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven at 200 °C for about 40 minutes until golden brown.
