Knead flour with water and yeast, then add oil, honey, salt, juice of one lemon and zest. Knead everything well for 10 min.
Form a ball, coat lightly with oil and leave for 60 min.
Knead again briefly and cut into 8 to 10 pieces. Press these into a flat circle with the heel of your hand. The edge should be just under 1 cm thick, the center only a few millimeters.
Heat a good 500 ml of oil in a saucepan, shape each piece of dough individually in the hot fat and close the lid. After one minute, turn the Küchle to the other side and bake until done, remove and place on a rack.
The Küchle taste not only freshly baked, but also after a few days.
