For the dumplings Halushka knead a dough from flour, eggs and salt. Roll out the dough to 3.5 mm thickness.
For the filling, render the smoked bacon, skim the grammels, mix with curd cheese and chives, season with salt and pepper.
Cut out round discs and fill with the filling, press the dumplings firmly together and cook in boiling salted water.
After cooking dumplings toss in lard. Sprinkle dumplings halushka with chives before serving.
