For the hemp basil pesto, briefly rinse the basil and pat dry well. Peel and coarsely chop the garlic. Pluck and coarsely chop the basil and puree in a blender with the garlic clove, also coarsely chopped, until well smooth.
Slowly add olive oil while blending constantly. Roast hemp seeds and cashews in a pan without oil and add to the basil mixture. Blend everything to a creamy pesto, season with a little salt.
