For the Swiss cheese fondue, remove the rind from the cheese and grate coarsely.
Mix the white wine with the cornstarch and pressed garlic, add the cheese and wine mixture to a fireproof ceramic pot and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Once the cheese has melted, stir in nutmeg seasoning and kirsch.
Chop the bread into small pieces. Serve fondue on a small stove.
