Rinse the potatoes and brush them thoroughly. Then cut them in half lengthwise and place them on a greased baking tray with the cut sides facing down. Bake in a hot oven at 220 °C on the lowest shelf for 15 minutes. Turn, sprinkle with the spices and bake for another 10 min. 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time, cover half of the potatoes with a slice of ham and cheese. Place the remaining potato halves on top and pin with a wooden skewer. Mixed pickles go well with this.

Potato burgers are not only a hearty little meal, but just as ideal as a leftover. They cook very well with potatoes already cooked the day before. The pre-cooking time of 15 minutes is not necessary – simply cut the potatoes in half, season and proceed as indicated in the recipe.

Our tip: As an alternative to fresh herbs, you can also use frozen ones – they also stand out for their fresh taste!
