Bring the milk to a boil and pour in the oatmeal.
Bring to a boil, simmer for another 5 minutes, then turn off the heat and let the oatmeal swell in the residual heat.
Drain the peaches and collect the juice.
Set aside 4 of the peach halves. Cut the remaining peach halves into small cubes. Mix with a little juice into the cooled oatmeal.
Divide the oatmeal among 4 plates.
Cut the peach halves set aside into bite-sized pieces as well, but do not let them fall apart, now place one of these peach halves in the center of each porridge. They should retain the shape of half a peach.
