Boil the syrup and the spices. Beat the butter and sugar until creamy, add the warm mixture and the egg. Add the flour and soda and stir to form a dough. Leave the dough to chill for one night.
The following day, roll out the dough to a thickness of 2 mm and cut out cookies. Bake at 250 degrees until golden brown.
