For the Hazelnut Thaler Krampus, knead all ingredients (except egg whites, chocolate drops, voucher cherries and pine nuts) into a dough, wrap in cling film and let rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
Form dough into rolls, cut off pieces of dough and shape into ovals, about 50 x 60 mm and 4 mm thick. Brush with egg white if desired (they will be shiny), insert chocolate drops as eyes, quartered voucher cherries as tongues and pine nuts as horns.
Bake in the preheated oven at 180 °C for about 12-15 minutes.
