For the rice casserole, bring the milk to a boil with salt. Pour in the rice and steam over low heat until soft, let cool.

Beat butter with powdered sugar, lemon zest and yolks until fluffy. Beat egg whites until stiff, add granulated sugar and beat until creamy.

Fold rice into yolk mixture, carefully fold in beaten egg whites. Grease the baking dish with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, fill in the rice mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven at medium heat for about 45 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still hot.
