The worms are super quick to whip up from gummy worms. These are especially for Halloween from the manufacturers in the colors red or orange in the offer. But the year-round varieties look great, too. Sweet and sour or particularly sour “worms” are especially effective for that certain zing.
Cut the gummy worms into bite-sized pieces. Drill small holes with a pointed knife or skewer and stick the worms in. They should look teasingly out of the Halloween cupcake, just as if you were crawling straight out of the ground.
