Grate the nuts, pour the hot milk and leave to swell for 10 min. Cream butter with sugar, vanilla sugar and salt. Add eggs and stir briefly. Sift flour with baking powder, fold in nuts and rum. Bake the waffles at medium temperature and dust with powdered sugar.
