Instructions:

Soak the chickpeas in water (about 10 hours), then rinse well in a sieve and drain.

Grind the chickpeas in a hand blender and add about 3 dl. Add water. Squeeze the garlic clove and add it together with the finely chopped onion, the spices and a little salt and mix. Fold in the flour until a compact dough is formed – if necessary, add a little more water. Form small croquettes or balls of about 4 cm in diameter. Heat the oil in the deep fryer or a deep pan and fry the croquettes for about 4 minutes until golden brown. Drain and bring to the table together with various salads.
