For the chocolate apricot cake, separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until very firm. Cream butter, sugar and yolks and then add the melted chocolate.

Mix flour with baking powder and fold into the mixture alternately with the snow. Spread the mixture on a baking tray and spread halved and pitted apricots on top. Bake the chocolate apricot cake in a preheated oven at 160 °C for about 30 minutes.
